Prayer Month - March 2009

• 10 minutes a day starting this Sunday 1st March
• The prayer will be based around us being unified and focused in prayer.

Deuteronomy 28:11-14 (The Message)

I have changed it into the personal tense for you.

 ^11-14 God will lavish you with good things: children from your womb, offspring from your animals, and crops from your land, the land that God promised your ancestors that he would give you. God will throw open the doors of his sky vaults and pour rain on your land on schedule and bless the work you take in hand. You will lend to many nations but you yourself won't have to take out a loan. God will make you the head, not the tail; you'll always be the top dog, never the bottom dog, as you obediently listen to and diligently keep the commands of God, your God, that I am commanding you today. Don't swerve an inch to the right or left from the words that I command you today by going off following and worshiping other gods.

Here is a sample of prayer you can use - if you want to. Obviously be led by the Spirit but it might be good if you could use at least some of these points in the prayer so that we are unified in purpose.

Prayer

"Father you are a good God and lavishing me with good things because you love me. There is no good thing you are withholding from me or anyone in Sydney Life Church who loves and obeys you.

You are throwing open the heaven (sky vaults) to me and to the church this month as I come before you in prayer. I pray for my brothers and sisters at Sydney Life Church that this month will be a breakthrough time with great testimony coming forth of your goodness and faithfulness.

I thank you that I can trust you especially in these turbulent times of financial uncertainty. I trust you with all my heart and that you are the source of my every need and I shall not want. In fact I thank you that you have promised that blessings will overtake me, goodness and mercy will follow me and I will experience the beginning of blessing and abundance this month of March 2009.

I confess that shackles of debt are loosed from me this month and I will experience financial freedom in obedience to do whatever you ask me as regarding my finances and possessions. I am a lender and not a debtor, the head and not the tail.

I look to you and I am radiant and my face is not ashamed. Lead my by your Spirit this month in a very special way as I pray for not only myself but for the church. Father bring your Spirit's mighty presence to Mosman and save and deliver souls. Let there be a might awakening in Mosman by your Spirit and strengthen us as we pray and intercede for souls. Bring people to the church that will support the vision we have for an open heaven and revival and protect us from all evil.

I am confident and give you thanks for hearing my prayers and answering them. You truly are an awesome God and I continually give you thanks for the opportunity to trust you with all my heart."

10 minutes might seem long but it's not if you focus on one point at a time and pause to give God thanks for answering it. For some of you 10 minutes might seem short so feel free to expand it as the Holy Spirit leads.
