SYDNEY LIFE CHURCH:
THE BEGINNING

Sydney Life Church was pioneered by Pastor Tom and Barbara Inglis in 2002. Though Ps. Tom is originally from Scotland and Ps. Barbara from South Africa, they were based in Southern California for many years but felt the call of God to start a church in Sydney, Australia.

After several trips to Australia to find out where God wanted them to pioneer the church, the family arrived on Easter Monday 2002 in Sydney. They felt the leading of the Lord to start the work in Mosman.

The first service was held on Sunday morning 4 August 2002.

In May 2003, they took a step of faith and moved to the beautiful ANZ Theatre at Taronga Zoo. The year 2004 was a significant year of God adding to the church and giving direction for the future. Over the years, they have used various venues and in 2015 the church shifted its focus to the entire Lower North Shore of Sydney, the new home of the church for the foreseeable future.

On the 1st of May 2022 Pastor's Tom and Barbara handed over the church to the next generation of leaders, Their daughter Kirsty and her husband Vim now co-lead the church, Kirsty as the Lead Pastor and Vim as the Operations Manager. Kirsty founded the church with her parents and has been a part of SLC since the very first day the doors opened. She has perused her calling in ministry with many years of experience and has competed a Bachelor of Theology.

Vim has a background in business and experience in leading teams, managing resources and facilitating growth.

Kirsty and Vim are honoured and excited to lead the church into the future with the strong foundations laid by Pastor Tom and Barbara.
